Christmas Tree Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 200g of all-purpose flour
  • 200g of sugar
  • 100g of unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 100ml of milk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • green food coloring
  • 200g of cream cheese
  • 100g of powdered sugar
  • 50g of unsalted butter
  • red and green sprinkles for decoration

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • mixing bowl
  • oven
  • baking tray
  • spatula
  • whisk

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together 100g butter and 200g sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add 3 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in 100ml of milk and 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 200g of flour, 2 tsp of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Divide the batter equally into two bowls.
  • In one bowl, add a few drops of green food coloring and mix until the desired color is reached.
  • Pour the green batter into a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting by beating together 200g of cream cheese, 50g of softened butter, and 100g of powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Once the cakes are cooled, layer them to form a Christmas tree shape, applying cream cheese frosting between the layers and on the outside of the cake.
  • Decorate the cake with red and green sprinkles to resemble ornaments on the tree.
